Open-air inhalatorium
(Salt-evaporation house) The popular tourist place Gradierhaus is an open-air inhalatorium located in Bad Reichenhall´s Kurpark. About 400 000 litres AlpenSole (AlpsBrine) trickle down the 13 meter high walls, which are covered with blackthorn. Take a walk around the Gradierhaus and breathe in the fresh air enriched with small salt water particles. In front of the Gradierhaus there is one of Bad Reichenhall´s 55 famous fountains: the SoleBrunnen (BrineFountain). Interesting information about the Gradierhaus: Our Gradierhaus was built in 1912. Since then it has been a public open-air inhalatorium that attracts both national and international tourists. The evaporation of the salt water causes a cooling and humidifying of the air which makes it easier to breathe. It also improves the local climate in Bad Reichenhall. |
