Bad Reichenhall´s local mountain
| Predigtstuhl Bad Reichenhall is surrounded by impressive mountains; one of them is the Predigtstuhl. Visitors can reach the top of the mountain (1,150m) with the help of the Predigtsthulbahn (cable car to the top of the mountain). It is the oldest twin-cable car in the world! The gondola offers space for 25 people and it takes 8.5 minutes to get to the top. Up there, hiking trails guide tourists to several viewpoints with a fantastic view at Bad Reichenhall and the Alps. Have a bird´s eye view of Bad Reichenhall, Salzburg and the mountain panorama from Dachstein to the Wilder Kaiser via the Watzmann. The Predigtstuhl offers groomed hiking trails and climbing routes. In winter, you can get active on a cleared circular hiking trail. The mountain top inn "Schlegelmulde" and the "Hotel Predigtstuhl" with its restaurant are inviting places for refreshments and bavarian cuisine. Enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery.
